Meet
'MELGUM ROAD'
Melgum Road's, (aka Ian Barron)
passion for music began at an early age and was encouraged by
his Grandma to pursue his dream. Born in the Village of
Tarland (population 600) Ian has taken the name of the main street,
Melgum Road, to honor his roots of Country music.
Country music influences include Jim Reeves, Don Williams, Buck
Owens, The Mavericks and his all time favourite, Dwight Yoakam.
Studying Folk and Classical music since 1995, and has recorded his
first Cd "She Broke The Speed Limit" in l998 at
Bentonwood Recording Studio.
Melgum Road has made television and radio appearances and has
received radio air play also in Scotland. Ian
appears as a guest artist on a Cd compilaton of Original
Country Songs recorded May 1999 at
Bentonwood Recording Studio, Whitby, Ontario, Canada.
Melgum Road Band is currently on tour performing at different events
and venues, plus working on his second Cd and has
released singles during this
recording time. (see discography
page).
