"My
songs come to me all of a sudden," explains songwriter Randall
Rospond. "It is like getting a wire. Not to frighten anyone,
but I think of my songs as divine gifts sent to me. They are
not consciously made but come from outside of me. I just
follow what is happening."
The Oshawa native, fell into songwriting by chance. "It
came out of left field. I just started writing when I was
about 18 years old in college," admits the artist.
Rospond found himself in the music scene by way of being
a fan, a soundman, staging and lighting guy. Being an
entertainer was the next logical step, so he taught himself
how to play guitar and never looked back.
He is a professional Do-It-Yourself artist. He records and
makes his own cassettes/CD's with hand drawn artwork on the
front covers. He makes stickers and T-shirts to help
promote his artistry and music. |
